STEP ONE

Track everything you eat and drink

To help identify and eliminate problem food and drinks it is vital to track everything thing you consume and note how it makes you feel.

STEP TWO

Reduce acidic food and drinks

Ideally cut out coffee or at least limit to 1-2 cups a day. Only on a full stomach and never back to back. No alcohol, garlic, onions or tomatoes.

STEP THREE

Eat smaller portions

Put less on your plate. Take your time and chew like you mean it. Good digestion starts with thorough chewing.

STEP FOUR

Eat 3 hours before bedtime

Eating earlier will promote good digestion, reduce reflux, improve sleep quality and wellbeing.

STEP FIVE

Manage stress levels

Reducing stress and anxiety is good for you gut health. Everyone is different so just do what works best for you and your stomach will be calmer

STEP SIX

Sleep with an elevated pillow

Sleeping with an elevated pillow helps digestion and reduces reflux. Experiment until you find the sleep position that is best for you.
